                      Likely produced around the same time (c. 1950s) are these two pieces. The earrings may represent the fleeting nature of time, while the brooch’s symbolism may be related to the fact that bees can tell time from temperature cycles inside the hive.                       We have known this grouping was from 1957 into the 1960s. Here’s a feature from WWD in 1960. Over the course of the years, the design used both round and square wire utilizing both warm and cool rhinestone tones. According to employees this collection was very expensive to produce, as evidenced by the retail price of the necklace. (copyrighted content) An airy overlapping of golden circles set with two-toned blue stones creates unusual style from The Napier Co., New York ($17.50 each). WWD, Friday February 19, 1960.
