We love the early artwork from The E. A. Bliss Co. that were were so fortunate to have for our research. This is an rendering featuring an Art Nouveau July birthstone pendant. The rendering dates somewhere between 1910 and 1913.
February 17, 2022This is a beautiful early 20th century Bliss dance purse. It has a brass Art Nouveau open metalwork design on the front and two arms in the interior to hold items (dance cards) in place. Marked “German Silver” and the E. A. Bliss trademark. These early purses are quite extraordinary and to have a celluloid one is quite fabulous. We offer personal thanks our friend who made this possible for us to share!
